Bio for Dave Coleclough
Dave Coleclough is a singer/songwriter based in New Zealand. Dave has been writing his own style of music for around 5 years now. An accomplished guitarist, Dave's styles include, Rock, pop, Alt Country and blues and include an eclectic mix of writing, that delves into peoples hearts, and explores some of the more personal experiences of ordinary folk, regarding, pain, joy, loss, and self discovery.
Recently, Dave has been receiving a generous amount of airplay in New Zealand, Australia and USA.He was selected as a finalist on the 'Rising Star' Competition on the 'Michael Nayt Show' in Califronia for his song 'Hotel Room'. Among some of his awards are a 'Gold Guitar Award' in 2012 at the New Zealand Gold Guitars.
Dave is currently studying a Bachelor of music at Otago University, and is majoring in composition. This is an exciting time for Dave, as he gets to spend time in the studio at the University, and recently did some vocals on Donna Dean's new album 'Tyre Tracks and broken hearts'
Dave, has enjoyed performing, and doing show's alongside, recording artists such as, Aly Cook, Kylie Price, Jordan Luck Band, Craig Adams and Avalanche City.
The next recording project for Dave is working on his new Cd, which will be a collection of his favourite compositions and will include a duet.
Also, on the agenda is the 'Music in Country Festival', which will be taking place on the 10th Jan 2014 at Mareno Bay in Whangarei, New Zealand. Dave will get to perform alongside some top recording artists, and will be doing and acoustic set for 45 min.
