Friends  often ask me “Why Kiwi Music” I just think that we have a great abundance of talent here in New Zealand and most of it is still undiscovered. NZ use to make the odd movie – but look what happened in that medium - NZ was finally discovered not just for the scenery, but for the talent that lives here.( HOW MANY OSCARS HAVE BEEN PLACED ON NZ MANTLEPEICES ? ).  I just support Kiwi bands and their music – I found this site Home Grown Music which I think is a great idea and I will continue support the site. As well as watching TV, I spend my time listening to a lot of Kiwi music, so I was thrilled with the opportunity to be able to write a blog on my passion.Good on the organizers of this site for coming up with the idea of a place where new Kiwi bands can showcase their original music. I have listened to the playlist here and selected a variety of music and songs and have created my own Radio Station playlist - ( what other site allows you to do that ? ) You can listen to my selection through the Radio Station I have created - "Radio Rita Station" The music I selected is varied - and as more kiwi bands sign up to this site I think that I am able to add those songs that appeal to me. And yes I remember rocking to the La de da's , The Underdogs, Human Instinct, Tommy Adderly - The "Ace of Clubs" Night Club - them were the days..
